Title Films SA

Title Films sa/nv is a film production company based in Brussels, Belgium.

It was founded in 2003 by Giles Daoust, Golden Globe Winner Alain Berliner (director of My Life in Pink), and financier Serge Peffer.

In 2003 and 2004, Title Films produced Ciné Quest - Concours Cinéma Belge.

From 2005 to 2008, Title Films has been a subsidiary of the SRIB / GIMB group, one of Brussels' most proeminent investment companies.

Giles Daoust is now the principal shareholder of the company, and its CEO.

3/ Belgian Tax Shelter specialist

The “Tax shelter” is a Belgian tax incentive for investments in feature films production.

It offers an average 40% upside for producers, as long as the film qualifies as European. There is no obligation to shoot the film in Belgium, though all monies raised in Belgium have to be spent in Belgium.

It offers a 150% tax break for investors (Belgian companies), each investment including loan (40%) and equity (60%) components. Put option mechanisms have been approved by the Belgian Government in order to provide a safe, preferred return to Belgian investors.

Title Films has used the Belgian Tax Shelter to finance the majority of its feature films, as well as served as consultant for other producers.

Title Films offers independent Tax Shelter consulting for producers, as well as investors. We provide project analysis, contract consultancy, and general advices regarding the incentive.
